Since 2012, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) has become increasingly scrutinous of industrial flare emissions.

Now, as new regulations emerge, refineries and certain chemical operations are looking to monitor and control flare tip net heating values (NHVs) to ensure sufficient destruction removal efficiency (DRE).
